Novel System Engineering blazes the Trail for Customized Carbon Fibers
On June 10, as a highlight of the anniversary celebration of the Lightweight Engineering Symposium, the Research Center for Carbon Fibers Saxony (RCCF) will debut its new laboratory. The RCCF, founded in April 2016, bundles TU Dresden's expertise in lightweight fibers with extreme strength and stiffness. To this end, the ILK and the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM) are forming a joint research initiative to examine the continuous development processes from the fiber's raw material to the finished component.
