The China Energy Storage Application Exhibition to Debut in Shenzhen, May 24-26, 2016

TIANJIN, China, April 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The 1(st) China Energy Storage Application Exhibition is an important part of the 12(th) China International Battery Fair (CIBF 2016), an event that will be held by China Industrial Association of Power Sources (CIAPS) at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from May 24th to 26th. CIBF 2016 has scheduled 4,000 booths in an 82,500 square-meter exhibition area. So far, all the booths had been booked by 1,080 exhibitors, from both in and abroad China.

During the fair, a series of key events have been scheduled, including CIBF 2016's Advanced Battery Technology Conference, the 6(th) China International Conference on Energy Storage, the International Buyer Symposium, the Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation and Energy Storage Standard Forum, the New Energy Project Cooperation, Investment and Financing Forum and VDMA CIBF Networking Dinner.

The event is expected to gather together domestic battery, equipment and materials manufacturers as well as power battery and energy storage system integrators where they will display various battery products and system integration solutions in addition to a wide variety of intelligent and automatic production equipment along with new materials for the new energy vehicle, energy storage and consumer electronics markets. Germany, South Korea and Taiwan have organized large delegations to participate in the 2016 exhibition.

China was the world's largest producer and market for new energy vehicles in 2015, with 379,000 new energy vehicles rolling off assembly lines, 4 times higher than that of the previous year. In addition, China's green energy sector, like wind and photovoltaic, is gradually changing the traditional power grid structure. The accumulated number of photovoltaic installations across the country reached 43GW in 2015, with the result that China overtook Germany to become the world largest market. Wind, photovoltaic and other new energies need reliable energy storage technologies that can provide support and buffering.

"Based on the current ratio of installed photovoltaic and wind power to energy storage devices, without taking the cost into account, China's energy storage demand is expected to reach 100 billion RMB in 2020," Secretary-general of CIAPS, Liu Yanlong, said.

Your visit and contribution to CIBF 2016 is warmly welcomed. We expect that you will discover some unexpected, industry-transforming surprises during your visit!
