Spijkenisse, 16 December 2015 - Data Facilities, a global provider of premium carrier-neutral Data Center & Hosting Services, started the process for the (ISO) 27001 Certification, for its twin data centers. The 27000 family of standards, created by International Organization for Standardization, offers a set of framework, guidelines and best practices for information security matters.
Our objective to attain ISO 27001 certification is to ascertain and assure our customers that we are fanatic about security and follow stringent practices to safeguard confidentiality and security of our databases.
Accreditation with ISO 27001 means that an organization follows the standard protocols as well as practices and demonstrates its commitment to integrate ISMS (information security management system) into its organizational structure, policies, procedures and processes.
"We're dead serious about security. Although quality and security is at the heart of everything we do at Data Facilities, we want to pursue this certification to provide our customers with an assurance of meeting one of the most widely accepted security management parameters in the world," said Savvas Bout, CEO of Data Facilities.
"We understand the significance of managing sensitive customers' information and are committed to providing robust security measures to ensure that our database never falls into wrong hands. Having an objective third-party validate our tight security controls will affirm our commitment to continually provide consistent, reliable, secure and best-in-class data center services to all our customers. Although the accreditation process is a time consuming matter, we are positive that we will get there soon."
