Japan's Rugby Team in Good Hands With Logistics "Made in Germany"

FRANKFURT, Germany and TOKYO, November 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Conceptum Sport Logistics is the official partner of the Japan Rugby Football Union for the European tour

A round leather ball is unknown in many parts of the world. In Japan, for example, the leather ball is egg-shaped and in rugby is carried across the field. Conceptum Sport Logistics (http://www.conceptum-sport-logistics.com), the German project logistics specialist, is the official partner of the Japan Rugby Football Union (JRFU) for logistics services during the 2012 tour. The contract between Conceptum (which is located near the Frankfurt airport) and JRFU (http://www.jrfu.org) constitutes the cornerstone of the new partnership.

Japan's rugby team has a heavy schedule ahead of it: they will be squaring off against Romania in Bucharest on 10 November, Georgia in Tiflis on 17 November, and the Basque team on 21 November in San Sebastian. The final match will be against the French Barbarians in Le Havre. The German logistics provider Conceptum will be in charge of all team and equipment transport logistics for these matches. "We're excited about this partnership, which nicely rounds out our portfolio of services for customers from the world of sports, as well as for numerous Olympics Committees. What's more, the tight scheduling of the European tour is a logistical challenge," said Conceptum Sport Logistics CEO Sebastian Stahl.

In rugby, two 15 member teams go head to head, and the winner is the squad that has scored the most points at the end of the 80-minute match. Unlike in soccer, rugby points can be earned by means of various maneuvers. And Sebastian Stahl's team also earns points (...).
