LONDON, Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- EnterpriseDB [http://www.enterprisedb.com/](® )(EDB(TM)), the database platform company for digital business, today announced a European tour to showcase the EDB Postgres(TM) Platform. The free events will help organizations understand how the open source-based flexibility of EDB Postgres enables the data platform to manage multi-model data, connect with existing systems, and deploy rapidly across multiple environments. The EDB Postgres Platform creates a cohesive data management fabric that accommodates a wider range of workloads and tasks by integrating with legacy systems and emerging Big Data solutions.
The tour will also shine a light on PostgreSQL innovation and the significant contributions EDB engineers make to the development and advancement of the open source Postgres code base. Query parallelism, for example, in PostgreSQL 10 was developed almost entirely by EDB engineers, as were major advances in hash and partitioning indexes.
