Sonoco-Alcore To Increase European Paperboard Prices

BRUSSELS, Jan. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sonoco-Alcore S.a.r.l. today announced it will raise prices by 30 Euro or £25 per metric ton on all recycled paperboard grades in Europe. The price change is effective with shipments on or after Feb. 15, 2013.

"The price increase is necessary to manage inflationary cost pressures in Europe, especially energy, freight, starch and other chemical costs," said Adam Wood, vice president, Sonoco-Alcore.
Sonoco-Alcore S.a.r.l. is wholly-owned by Sonoco and operates 30 tube and core plants and five paperboard mills in Europe.
