Annemieke Nijhof MSc, MBA, (1966) joins the board of Tauw Group BV. She will be member of the board chaired by Bram de Borst MSc.

This effectively means that Annemieke Nijhof returns to the company that she worked for in various capacities, including Head of the Water department. It was in that function that she laid the foundation for Tauw's current position and ambitions in the water sector.
As she herself puts it, the choice to work for Tauw is not only for that reason a logical one: "I continue to harbour an undiminished enthusiasm about the vital contribution that engineers make in the realisation of sustainable development of our society. Water plays a major role, as does spatial quality and sustainability. These are areas in which Tauw distinguishes itself from others in the market. Having contributed to policy development for years, I find it great to be able to focus on its development in a leading, strategic position with Tauw".

With Nijhof's arrival Tauw takes an important step in realizing its ambitions in terms of spatial quality, water and the environment. Nijhof also brings extensive experience in these fields with her. She has previously held posting at various ministries including as Director-General of Water, Senior Adviser for Spatial Development, Sustainability and the Environment, Deputy Director for External Security and member of the board of Grontmij NV.
Her knowledge, experience and networks are invaluable for the engineering firm.

In her new post Nijhof will initially contribute to reinforcing Tauw's position in the market. Annemieke Nijhof will - at some point in the future - succeed Bram de Borst as Chair of the Tauw Group Board.
